\u201cFor God so loved the world, that He gave His one and only Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.\u201d – John 3:16.<\/em> That is, unquestionably, the greatest story ever told. Why is it, then, that it is also the greatest story never told?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Did you hear about the fellow who was caught robbing a bank, and the judge said to him, \u201cIf you cannot afford an attorney, then we will provide a good attorney for you.\u201d The fellow looked at the judge and said, \u201cI don\u2019t need a good attorney. What I really need is a good witness!\u201d We know the greatest story ever told; why then are there so few good witnesses willing to tell that story with words and action?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The message of this scripture is that we are called to always be prepared to witness to others and be prepared to give the reason for our faith and the hope we have. We are called to tell the story. We are to share the story with friends, family, and others, so that they may come to know the peace and joy that only comes through accepting Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Do everything you can to let the greatest story ever told be told.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are many ways you can do that. Let others see Jesus in you by taking time to welcome visitors. Instead of the same people you talk with every time you are at church, go introduce yourself to someone you have never met. Answer questions or find the answer to questions they might have.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Let others see Jesus in you by volunteering to help with all the many things we have going on at our church. James 1:22 says, \u201cBut be doers of the word and not hearers only.\u201d  <\/em>You may be surprised at how volunteering helps your faith grow stronger while also helping others. Our world today is broken. But those of us who believe have hope. Easter Sunday, we will gather at our Event Center to celebrate the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. We know that one day, God will send Jesus back to take all those home who accept and believe the greatest story ever told.
