PRAY FOR AMERICA AND VOTE

The elections are almost here and Christian voters will have a profound impact on the outcome. A recent survey revealed that only 51% of Christian voters will cast a ballot. That could dramatically influence races and issues at national and local levels.

The report estimates that of the 104 million eligible Christian voters, 32 million

Christians who attend church will likely not vote. For many, dissatisfaction with the political climate and candidates is an issue. The survey found that 68% of respondents expressed a lack of interest in politics, while 57% cited their dislike of all major candidates.

Over half felt that none of the candidates truly reflected their most important views, and 52% believed their vote wouldn’t make a difference. Proverbs 29:2 says, “When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; but when the wicked rule, the people groan.”

If Christians do not step up to vote, we cannot have the kind of leadership that brings positive change to America. With millions of Christian voters not voting, There will be a significant effect on the outcome.

The absence of 32 million likely non-voting churchgoers could tip the scales of the presidential election. State and local elections and critical ballot measures that address issues like education, health care, and economic policy will also be affected. We Christians should realize that voting is a civic duty and moral responsibility.

Will the elections be another example of a missed opportunity for Christian voters to shape the future of our nation? The answer to that question could determine not just the outcome of the vote but the direction of America for years to come.

I urge all of us at Sac River Cowboy Church to pray for America and vote.
