The new year at SRCC will bring things we know will happen. There will also be unknowns and opportunities.
Pastor Mark will be going back into retirement. We will miss Mark’s boundless energy, his messages from the Bible, and banjo music. We will miss Sandy’s singing and going around greeting people. We are thankful God blessed us with them both. I bet they will be back to visit. They will miss us too.
Pastor Ty, his wife Julie, and their son Hayes will now be a part of our family. We have heard great Godly messages from Ty already. We look forward to more. Some of you have not heard Ty and Julie sing. It is a blessing. Ty can even leap over rows of chairs in a single bound to help someone in need. Thank you, God, for bringing this family to us.
Pastor Ron will continue preaching here and at Finley River Cowboy Church when needed. Many of you tell me you love hearing his booming bass voice when he sings with the band and when he blesses us with the messages he brings. Ron’s better half, Loree, puts together this newsletter for you each month, heads up the monthly potluck at the Livestock Center, and has started a new adult bible study there. God has blessed us with both of them and Goose, their granddaughter.
Pastor Scotty and Diana will still be moving around at both churches to shake hands and visit with as many of you as possible. We will be blessed this year with the great messages God gives Scotty to bring us and people on Facebook. The bonus is we still can hear him sing in that voice God blessed him with.
Thank God Tami Greene and her team of helpers will still be helping with our youth and children’s ministries. These youth and kids are the future of SRCC.
The new year will also see the opening of the addition to our Event Center. It will make it possible for many more people to be a part of our family at this special place called Sac River Cowboy Church.
Scotty, Ty, Ron, and Tami are a big part of what Sac River Cowboy Church is, but all of what we do would not be possible without all the many people that volunteer their time and talents. We are so very thankful for all of you.
To all the rest of you, we could not do all this without your support. This new year will have blessings for some of you and problems for others. Just know that God, Jesus and Sac River Cowboy Church are always there for you.
