Dear Children,
It makes me sad that so many folks are taking the birth of my Son out of the Christmas season. One of these days, I will send Him back, and they will wish they had not done that.
I ask all of you who believe in me to be bold in sharing your faith with others during this time of the year. There are many ways you can do that.
Along with your holiday lights, put a nativity scene on your front lawn for all to see, especially at your church. Hopefully, that will remind some folks of the real reason to celebrate this special day.
I am not sure about all this social media thing. In some ways, it is not good. But it is also a good way to share His birthday with many other people who need to know what Christmas is really about.
Visit someone in a nursing home. You don’t have to know them personally. They need to know that someone cares about them. You can also invite someone to church so they can hear the real Christmas story.
Instead of giving your kids or grandkids lots of gifts, spend time with them. Tell them the story of the birth of Jesus, and why I sent Him. Hold them in your arms and remind them that Jesus loves them, I love them, and you love them. They need to know that.
Some people feel alone and hopeless this time of year. Try giving everyone you meet a warm smile and wish them a Happy Jesus birthday. It could make a big difference for them. Let others know, by your words and actions, that you are one of my children.
There are families in your town who will not have a Christmas tree, no money for presents, or food. Buy some food and a few gifts, and give them to a charity that believes in Me and will make the delivery for you in the name of Jesus.
Now, get to work. Time is short. Have a blessed Christmas with those you love. And always remember, I love you, and Jesus loves you.
Have a Happy Jesus Birthday.
Your Heavenly Father
